A month in Madeira, which I had never visited before, should have been ample time to complete all those tasks I had been putting off: adding a final polish to Book 2 in the Dylan Series, thoroughly revising Book 3, rewriting two chapters of Book 4 that just didn’t hang together not to mention signing off on my new website and starting to master twitter. Instead the island captivated me and I spent most of my time exploring, leaving my list of todos largely undone.  I did however manage something that wasn’t on my list: the first 20,000 words of Book 5 somehow poured out of my IPad and hared off in totally unexpected directions.
